Itel Launches S25 and S25 Ultra Ahead of Samsung’s S25 Series

Itel has unveiled its latest midrange contenders in the Philippines, the Itel S25 and Itel S25 Ultra. With impressive displays, large storage options, and advanced camera setups, these new devices are primed to challenge the competition in the budget-friendly smartphone segment. Their name might sound familiar—Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series is expected in early 2025—but Itel’s S25 series is carving its own niche with affordable innovation.

Both the Itel S25 and S25 Ultra sport expansive 6.78-inch AMOLED displays, giving users vibrant colors and deep contrasts. The standard S25 offers a flat screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Ultra model adds a premium touch with a curved AMOLED display, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. Both models boast under-display fingerprint scanners, a feature usually reserved for high-end devices.

On the performance front, the Itel S25 Ultra is powered by a Unisoc T620 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample room for media files. While the chipset for the standard S25 is yet to be disclosed, both devices are expected to deliver reliable performance for everyday tasks. Additionally, both models run on Android 14, with an update to Android 15 on the horizon, keeping users up-to-date with the latest software features.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 50-megapixel primary camera on both models, while a 32-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls with clarity. The Ultra variant adds an extra layer of convenience with an infrared transmitter, allowing users to control compatible appliances directly from their phones.

Battery life should be sufficient for daily use, with both models featuring a 5,000mAh battery. However, there’s no mention of fast charging support. The Itel S25 has an IP54 rating for basic dust and splash resistance, while the S25 Ultra offers slightly more protection with an IP64 rating.

In terms of connectivity, both phones support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and have a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Color options include Bromo Black, Mambo Mint, and Sahara Gleam for the Itel S25, while the S25 Ultra is available in Bromo Black, Komodo Ocean, and Meteor Titanium.

Pricing for the Itel S25 starts at PHP 5,799 (approximately Rs. 8,400), making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers, while the S25 Ultra begins at PHP 10,999 (around Rs. 15,900). Pre-orders are available on Shopee for the S25, with the S25 Ultra up for pre-order starting Sunday.

With the S25 series, Itel is delivering feature-packed smartphones at an accessible price, proving that premium features can come in budget-friendly packages.
